Mente Marine, is pleased to announce the launch of its new product ACS
AD, especially developed for automatic trimming of boats with the IPS
drive system.
IPS drives lack the power trim feature normally available in stern drives.
When speeding up from a standstill, the bow may rise high and disturb
the sight before settling at planing speed. Automatic trimming is used to
correct this issue. ACS AD which is a further development of Mente
Marine's ACS A product now controls bow high situations faster than
before. This has been made possible by adding a new gyroscope sensor
into the control unit and equipping the unit with high current outputs.
Boats in the 40 foot range and above often use two actuators per trim tab
and require a high start current when both tabs are used at the same time
to control the bow.
Except fore-aft trim, the ACS AD will also correct heeling caused by
shifting winds, changes in course or passengers moving around. It may
be connected to all popular trim tabs on boats up to 50 feet. Above 50
feet, customized versions are available.
